The Medical Scribe role at Twin Cities Orthopedics involves documenting patient data into electronic health records systems, assisting with patient care, and performing administrative tasks to increase efficiency and productivity of providers.
Key Responsibilities:- Document patient data into electronic health records systems during patient visits
- Ensure accuracy of patient information entered into the system
- Follow coding requirements during entry of patient information
- Retrieve data as needed related to the patient visit
- Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms
- Room patients, compile patient medical data, and prepare for x-rays
- Assist with information gathering prior to and during patient visits
- Assist in surgical x-ray procurement
- Apply and remove casts
- Prescribe medications, laboratory services, imaging studies, and other auxiliary services under provider direction
- Assist with medical supply inventory and ordering
- Assist with clinical-related paperwork, including disability forms and referrals
- Return patient telephone calls
- Schedule imaging studies and injections
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous Medical Scribe experience preferred
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology preferred
- Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments preferred
- Comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines
- Complete job-required training
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
- Work in the clinic during business hours
- Travel independently throughout the clinic
- Integrity: Do the right thing and take responsibility for what you do and say
- Service: Consistently contribute to deliver an exceptional experience
