Key Responsibilities- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with preferred suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to create strategic sourcing models that optimize value and reduce costs.
- Analysis: Conduct advanced quantitative and business process analyses to identify financial impacts of decisions and optimize procurement processes.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks associated with global supply chains, including market conditions, product availability, and delivery.
- Contract Management: Assist in the authoring of contract documents, manage contracts, and ensure performance of suppliers.
- Talent Development: Mentor and develop team members to ensure the continued growth and success of the purchasing function.
- Advanced degree and 4+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, contract negotiation, systems engineering, information technology, facilities and construction, hospitality and food, or a related field.
- 2+ years of management experience.
- Experience with engineering and productivity software, facilities and construction projects, sourcing apparel and marketing swag, SQL, data visualization tools, and current technologies and applications.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, remarkable problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize appropriately to meet internal customer and company needs.
- Effective written and verbal communications skills, with strong ability to communicate with all levels of internal personnel.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
- Conducts all activities with the highest integrity.
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends if needed.
- Ability to communicate outside of work hours.
- Must be able to travel - up to 25% travel may be required.
Pay range: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00/per year. Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Exempt employees are eligible for 5 days of sick leave per year.
