Housekeeping Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Specialist to join our team at Nova Behavioral Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for our consumers, staff, and visitors.

• Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors, vacuum clean carpets and rugs, shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery, and clean fixtures.
• Trash and Recycling: Empty and clean trash containers, dispose of trash in a sanitary manner, and sort recyclables.
• Laundry and Linens: Sort, wash, load, and unload laundry as assigned, and distribute clean linens and towels.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate mechanical cleaning equipment, clean appliances, and maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition.
• Reporting and Communication: Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements, and communicate with staff and management regarding cleaning schedules and procedures.

• Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods, working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment, and physical stamina and mobility.
• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and previous experience in housekeeping or a related field.

The Housekeeping Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. The successful candidate must be able to lift, push, and pull required loads, and work in a team environment.
