Parexel Early Phase Clinical Unit Overview

The Parexel Early Phase Clinical Unit supports the development of innovative new medicines, improving public health outcomes and saving lives. Our team is responsible for conducting early phase and first-in-human trials, testing novel treatments in humans.

Nurse Practitioner Role

As a Nurse Practitioner in our Early Phase Clinical Unit, you will work under the direction of a licensed physician to ensure the safety of study participants. Your responsibilities will include reviewing medical history and physical assessments, qualifying participants for studies, and developing treatment plans under physician guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute Sub-Investigator responsibilities on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate clinical research activities, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
  • Assist with medical and clinical oversight of clinical work performed within the CPRU.
  • Review laboratory data, perform physical assessments, and evaluate inclusion/exclusion criteria for study participants.
  • Participate in recording and reviewing adverse events and concomitant medications.
  • Review source data and/or data listings of safety data with the clinical team and project team.
  • Ensure timely completion of established timelines for assigned projects.
  • Support Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GCP, and work processes to ensure efficient and compliant clinical operations.
  • Liaise with sponsors on study conduct and study progression.
  • Liaise with physician staff and local/regional medical consultants as necessary.
  • Ensure quality standards of clinical work product are met.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a licensed Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Active Nurse Practitioner License in the state of California.
  • Analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Base Pay Range: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00

Actual salaries may vary based on education, training, experience, professional achievement, and location. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for participation in Parexel's annual performance-based bonus plan and additional total rewards incentives.
