Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, meeting both psychological and physical needs of patients in accordance with physicians' orders, AOA, OSHA, nursing and department policies.
  • Assist in the implementation of the patient's treatment plan under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Communicate effectively with RNs and report any changes, to medical orders, radiological results, laboratory results, or patient status.
  • Participate in hospital-wide performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Maintain position-specific skills and competencies as required on an annual basis.
  • Attend educational programs to maintain clinical competency.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a State Board-approved program of practical nursing.
  • Current Pennsylvania state license as a licensed practical nurse.
  • Certified in basic CPR.
