The Assistant Production Manager is a key member of the Production Department, responsible for assisting the Production Manager in overseeing and coordinating work activities. Key Responsibilities- Assist the Production Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising work activities in the Production Department.
- Monitor and recommend changes in work methods and equipment usage to improve labor utilization, production efficiency, and department expenses.
- Conduct new hire and ongoing training in all production departments to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
- Consult with engineering, sales, and service management to ensure the smooth operation of the plant and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Responsible for executing company production policies, procedures, and standards, and ensuring that standards for production, quality, housekeeping, and safety are met.
- High school graduation or similar experience.
- Some business experience.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to comprehend and follow directions, and good time management skills.
The Assistant Production Manager will work in a typical industrial laundry facility, which includes variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust. The role may require occasional travel to visit customers or attend training meetings.
