Job Description:

At Farmers State Bank, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team as a Portfolio Credit Specialist. As a key member of our credit department, you'll play a vital role in analyzing financial data to extend credit to new or existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze financial statements, including performance ratios, to develop a comprehensive assessment of borrowers' historical operating performance.
  2. Prepare detailed written analysis, including:
  1. Credit investigation of the borrower and guarantors
  2. Economic and market conditions affecting the company, industry, and market areas
  3. In-depth historical financial analysis, including communication with the borrower's accountant to gain insight into accounting practices
  4. In-depth projections of the borrower's financial statements to evaluate future debt service ability and cash flow
  5. In-depth analysis of the bank's collateral position
  6. In-depth analysis of secondary sources of repayment
  7. In-depth analysis of a guarantor's financial position
Collect and maintain industry data, researching specific information from outside sourcesProvide detailed written analysis, including a list of strengths and weaknesses of a credit, to Commercial Loan OfficersAttend Loan Committee meetings to address questions regarding credit analysisAssist in preparing reports detailing the status of individual accounts and the overall loan portfolioParticipate in customer meetings as requested by officersParticipate in special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 2+ years of banking experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience working in a professional environment a plus

Salary: The salary for this position is estimated to be between $65,000 and $90,000 per year, based on the title, job description, and location.
