Job Description
We're looking for a seasoned expert in robotics algorithm development to join our team. As a Robotics Algorithm Developer, you will design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge algorithms to control our massive robotic fleet in warehouses. Your work will have a significant impact on the next wave of robotics and automation.
Key Responsibilities
As a Robotics Algorithm Developer, you will:
- Design and develop advanced algorithms for planning, scheduling, and control of robotic systems
- Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary science team to develop novel planning algorithms and machine learning methods
- Apply machine learning methods to real-world robotic warehouses, including planning and coordinating the paths of thousands of robots, dynamic allocation and scheduling of tasks to thousands of robots, and learning how to adapt system behavior to varying operating conditions
- Co-design robotic logistics processes and the algorithms to optimize them
Basic Qualifications
To be successful as a Robotics Algorithm Developer, you will have:
- A PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of relevant, broad research experience after a PhD degree
- Experience programming in C++, Java, Python, or a related language
- Experience using state-of-the-art planning and machine learning methods
- A strong publication record with contributions to leading conferences/journals
Preferred Qualifications
A plus if you have:
- Extensive experience developing and deploying algorithms for planning and control of real-world applications
- Deep knowledge of adjacent fields, including optimization, heuristic search, and deep learning
- Comfort working in a fast-paced development environment
- Ability to identify unsolved problems and creatively invent solutions
- Proven track record of innovation
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary, with estimated annual compensation between $180,000 to $250,000, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
