Warehouse Inventory Operations Manager

Compensation Information
This position offers a competitive salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on performance. Additional compensation information includes benefits such as medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance options, paid time off for vacation, illness, bereavement, family and parental leave, and a tax-advantaged 401(k) retirement savings plan.
Job Description
The Inventory Supervisor reports to the Senior Logistics Manager and has overall responsibility for tracking incoming and finished goods materials, packaging supplies, etc. required in the warehousing and distribution of customer products. This role provides accounting support regarding inventory issues. Direct involvement with daily operations and future projects is necessary to ensure activities support facility goals and objectives.
Key responsibilities include supporting facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) that consistently meet or exceed established goals, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, quality, productivity, sanitation, and maintenance. Daily reports are maintained to measure KPI's. Development and maintenance of inventory control systems that meet ongoing and future facility needs is also required. Additionally, floor support is provided to Operations Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues, and office support is given to the I/O Coordinators and receiving/shipping office personnel. The role involves facilitating and executing the hold process for local sites. Tracking day-to-day facility inventory costs as they affect facility KPI's and effectively communicating results to appropriate team members is essential. Daily communications and shift meetings provide the necessary information for employees to do their jobs consistently well while making them feel part of the team. Additional responsibilities include performing other duties as assigned, promoting positive customer relationships, and possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, one must have ability to prioritize and organize work, along with strong follow-up, analytical, problem-solving, and sound decision-making skills. Effective communication in both verbal and written forms with customers, employees, peers, and management is required. Ability to work self-directed with minimal supervision, manage individual performance, and employee relations is also necessary. Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment is crucial. Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills, detail-oriented, with excellent follow-up practices, intermediate computer skills, exposure to Lean principles, systems, and tools beginner preferred, knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) intermediate preferred, OSHA knowledge required intermediate preferred, DOT and Hazmat knowledge may be required based on the account intermediate preferred, APICS certified intermediate preferred. H.S. diploma/GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred in logistics, supply chain, or related field, two years or more in manufacturing/production/distribution inventory required, two years or more supervisory experience required, two years or more PC Inventory and accounting skills required, two years or more in problem-solving skills experience, use of formal Root Cause Countermeasure Systems preferred. Knowledge of warehouse management software and OSHA regulations is preferred.
