Job Summary

The Laboratory Specialist II evaluates clinical specimens using automated and manual methods to generate accurate and precise results. This role requires independent judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment, documenting corrective actions, and recording quality control.

  • Calibrates instruments according to manufacturer's recommendations, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to promote an effective team environment.

  • Handles multiple projects and prioritizes tasks efficiently.
  • Reviews and evaluates reports as requested, providing timely feedback.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting is required, with a strong background in microbiology. The successful candidate will be licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of Florida and possess basic computer knowledge.
