Higgins High is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General Clerk to join our team. As a General Clerk, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our school office, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Administrative Tasks: Perform various clerical tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and filing.
- Communication: Respond to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Office Management: Maintain a clean and organized office environment, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
- Student Support: Assist with student registration, scheduling, and other related tasks.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports as required by the school administration.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently, and proficiency in computer software applications.
- Experience: Previous experience in general office work or public relations work is desirable.
The General Clerk will work in a climate-controlled office environment, with a 7.5-hour workday, including a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.
Communication Skills:The General Clerk must be able to communicate effectively in standard English, both orally and in writing, and have the ability to accurately give and receive information via telecommunications systems.
Equipment Used:The General Clerk will be required to operate various office equipment, including computers, printers, and telephones.
Physical and Mental Demands:The General Clerk will be required to sit for most of the workday, with occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
Human Relations:The General Clerk must be able to work compatibly in a group setting, respond positively to supervision, and relate information to the public in a courteous manner.
