Position Summary and Requirements
The Physical Therapist (PT) delivers exceptional, patient-focused care by overseeing the complete therapeutic process for a designated group of patients in collaboration with physicians and the care team. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments and participating in the creation and execution of personalized care plans aimed at achieving patient goals and enhancing their experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and treatment interventions in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Assess and evaluate patients' rehabilitative and functional status while contributing to the overall care plan.
- Deliver targeted therapeutic care at patients' homes, employing techniques that align with the physician's directives.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapies, exercises, and devices for use outside of therapy sessions.
- Manage caseload priorities, daily staffing needs, and coordinate assignments.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Valid Physical Therapy License from The Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy (ECPTOTE) Texas State Board.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy.
- Preferred: One or more years of experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation setting.
