We are seeking highly skilled Histotechnologists to join our team at Labcorp, a leading provider of medical laboratory services. As a Histotechnologist, you will play a critical role in preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, ensuring accurate and timely test results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process human tissue and body fluid specimens for histopathological examination
  • Perform technical duties related to the production of histopathological slides, including sectioning, mounting, and staining
  • Operate and maintain manual and automated instruments, including microtomes and staining equipment
  • Report accurate and timely test results, adhering to laboratory quality control policies
  • Document equipment maintenance, quality control procedures, and any issues affecting test performance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
  • Histology and/or ASCP certifications preferred
  • Previous experience in histology or a related field is a plus
  • Familiarity with routine histology procedures and equipment, including microtomes and staining equipment
  • Ability to work in a high-volume laboratory environment, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
