Job Title

We are seeking a dedicated Electronic Assembly Technician to join our team at Material In Motion. This role is essential in delivering high-quality assembly services that support our clients' operational needs. The technician will engage in various electronic assembly activities, adhering to established work protocols while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute electronic assembly tasks in accordance with the company's quality standards.
  • Adhere to detailed work instructions for assembling electronic components and complete assemblies.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Comply with safety regulations as outlined in the company's environmental health and safety guidelines.
  • Complete all required training programs.
  • Engage in the 5S methodology to promote workplace organization.
  • Conduct visual inspections of components for correct placement and assembly.
  • Safely operate and maintain a variety of tools and machinery.
  • Keep a clean and organized workspace.
  • Prepare and assemble components as per visual instructions.
  • Utilize barcode scanners and hand tools effectively.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Electronic Assembly Technician will undertake standardized and repetitive assembly operations, utilizing hand tools such as drills and screwdrivers. A keen attention to detail is necessary for interpreting manufacturing assembly, packaging, and quality documentation to ensure tasks are completed accurately. The role requires standing at a well-lit workstation to construct custom products, interpreting assembly instructions, and executing work orders with efficiency and precision.

Technicians must be adaptable to various tasks and operations. The position involves prolonged periods of standing and the capability to lift items weighing up to 35 pounds.

Material Handling Responsibilities:

The Material Handler at Material In Motion plays a crucial role in the distribution of production materials, ensuring that inventory is moved to the appropriate production areas. Responsibilities include managing inventory levels, locating materials, preparing finished products for shipment, and maintaining a tidy work environment.

  • Oversee inventory management and track materials and supplies.
  • Identify and verify materials listed in production inventory.
  • Transport materials to work centers as needed.
  • Document material usage and prepare finished goods for shipment.
  • Handle loading and unloading of deliveries and prepare materials for relevant departments.
  • Ensure proper receipt, storage, issuance, and shipment of materials.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours a day.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds safely.
  • Flexibility to work first or second shifts, including occasional weekends and holidays.
  • Comfortable working indoors with varying temperature conditions.
