Role Overview

As a Chief Accountant, you will play a crucial role in delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial information for each legal entity within the country. Your expertise will ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS standards, thereby supporting our financial integrity.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare statutory accounts and monthly financial reports in accordance with IFRS.
  • Manage monthly tax obligations and annual tax filings.
  • Ensure precise monthly tax declarations, including VAT and customs duties.
  • Coordinate updates on local regulatory changes affecting accounting and taxation.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly closing files with the necessary supporting documentation.
  • Control and manage payroll entries, accruals, and payroll interfaces in SAP.
  • Document all provisions and employee benefits accurately, including pensions.
  • Reconcile IFRS and statutory equity.
  • Prepare and verify reporting for RS and tax packages.
  • Supervise comprehensive accounting ledgers, including receivables, payables, and fixed assets.
  • Promote and monitor the Internal Control framework, driving improvements to mitigate risks.
  • Update accounting procedures as necessary.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with site accountants.
  • Prepare relevant documentation for external and tax auditors.
  • Support documentation for grants, tax credits, and subsidies.
  • Contribute to the Group Ethics & Compliance program by adhering to the code of ethics and Valeo's policies.
  • Foster the training and career development of finance personnel, creating a proactive team environment.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline is required.
  • Experience in team management is essential.
  • CPA or equivalent certification is mandatory.
