Community Relations Director Position Summary

The Community Relations Director assumes overall responsibility for Sales and Marketing of the community, serving as an advocate for potential residents. Key responsibilities include sharing information about the community, conducting tours, and collaborating with the Executive Director to create a welcoming environment.

Required Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in sales and/or marketing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite of products.
  • Knowledge of older adult physiology and psychology.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Considerable initiative, judgment, and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in Senior Living or a related field.
  • Some experience in Memory Care Senior Living communities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective communication with the Leadership team regarding marketing, sales, and occupancy issues.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans.
  • Organize and manage a successful networking and community outreach program.
  • Effectively track and cultivate prospects using sales software.
  • Maintain a census of budgeted occupancy or higher.
  • Monitor and manage the marketing budget.
  • Set and track goals for completed calls, mailings, leads generated, appointments set, presentations, and closings.
  • Maintain a thorough working proficiency on the lead management system.
  • Develop a rapport with prospective residents and families.
  • Ensure model suites are well maintained.
  • Assist in planning and implementing in-service training, touring, and presentations.
  • Provide tour training and customer service training to staff.
  • Make written and weekly oral reports and meet as directed with the Executive Director.
  • Oversee and/or coordinate new resident move-in process with team members.
  • Work in conjunction with other members of the Leadership Team.
  • Conduct effective sales meetings.
  • Submit recommendations to the Executive Director for budget completion, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure adequate supplies and equipment for the Community Relations Department.
  • Participate in weekly occupancy calls and focus calls as required.
