Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a VDC Specialist supporting our civil engineering disciplines. This role will primarily focus on managing Autodesk Civil 3D software, Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows, Revit collaboration, training, and related responsibilities to ensure efficient and standardized workflows within the civil engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:- Software Management: Provide expert support in the setup, installation, and troubleshooting of Civil 3D software.
- Testing and Evaluation: Test and evaluate new software releases and features to optimize performance.
- Workflow Optimization: Configure support file paths and profiles to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Collaboration and Support: Collaborate closely with IT and end-users to swiftly resolve any CAD software issues that may arise.
- CAD Standards: Champion PEC CAD Standards to ensure consistency, efficiency, and accuracy in all drafting activities.
- Drafting Standards: Develop and maintain drafting standards and guidelines for compliance with industry practices and client expectations.
- Project Templates: Update project templates to align with software updates, project needs, and organizational standards.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support for team adherence to standards and template utilization.
- Collaboration and Data Management: Collaborate with teams to address drafting challenges and optimize workflows as needed.
- Autodesk Construction Cloud Management: Efficiently manage Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for the Civil Engineering Department to enhance collaboration and streamline data management workflows.
- Project Setup and Access Control: Work with end-users to establish and maintain organized project structures within ACC, ensuring PEC folder structure is utilized and maintained.
- Integration and Data Integrity: Facilitate integration between Autodesk Civil 3D and ACC, enabling real-time data exchange and collaboration while maintaining data integrity.
- Access Control and Security: Administer project setup and access controls, ensuring all project stakeholders have appropriate levels of access while maintaining data security.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D software and ACC platform, with a strong understanding of their functionalities and integration capabilities.
- Experience: Experience in managing the ACC environments for Civil 3D projects, including organizing data, setting permissions, and facilitating collaboration.
- Troubleshooting and Optimization: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize workflows within the Autodesk Civil 3D environment to enhance project efficiency.
- Training and Development: Experience in conducting training sessions and developing educational materials to support team members in utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Autodesk Revit Software: Experience with Autodesk Revit software is recommended but not required.
- Certificate in Computer-Aided Drafting: Certificate in Computer-Aided Drafting in Autodesk Civil 3D software.
