Job Summary

The Progressive Stamping Machine Set-Up/Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining high-speed reel-to-reel progressive stamping machines to produce metal parts according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate progressive stamping machines to produce metal parts with high precision and quality.
  • Perform necessary adjustments on tooling and machines to ensure optimal performance and quality.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure efficiency and quality, and troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Tool Room and Maintenance Department to resolve tooling or machine malfunctions.
  • Perform minor press maintenance tasks, such as maintaining fluid levels and changing oil.
  • Complete production logs, die repair logs, and parameter set-up sheets in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and provide training to die operators on safe and efficient machine operations.
  • Restock raw materials as needed to maintain smooth production.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in progressive stamping setup and/or operation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and comparator.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
