The Department of Medicine at the University of Virginia seeks a highly qualified candidate for an Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, Professor) position in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The successful candidate will join a team of experienced gastroenterologists at the University Medical Center and contribute to the department's mission of providing exceptional patient care, advancing medical knowledge, and educating the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage patients in clinic and perform routine endoscopic procedures
- Attend on the inpatient GI service and participate in ongoing clinical research
- Assist with teaching of fellows and residents
- Contribute to the department's scholarly activity and publication record
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the appointment start date.
