Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled High Performance Computing Systems Administrator to join our team at Maxar Technologies. As an HPC Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance computing systems and infrastructure to support our 3D product creation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hardware maintenance, including swapping drives, replacing fans, and other tasks as needed.
  • Perform software upgrades and patches to ensure system stability and security.
  • Configure and manage HPC infrastructure, including Lustre and GPFS file systems.
  • Monitor system availability and perform troubleshooting as needed.
  • Assist the product development team in evaluating configuration changes and implementing new technologies.
  • Provide operating system and access support to 3D users.
Requirements
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience administering Linux servers, GPFS and/or Lustre file systems, VMware vSphere, FreeIPA, Postgres, and Kubernetes.
  • Must be familiar with components of an HPC computing environment, including Slurm job scheduling and cluster networking.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience administering Linux operating systems.
  • 3+ years of experience administering Lustre file systems.
  • 3+ years of experience administering High Performance Compute clusters.
