Position Title: Senior Pastry Specialist

Pay Grade: 13

Reports To: Executive Chef

Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000

Job Summary:

As a Senior Pastry Specialist, you will oversee the creation, production, and procurement of items within the pastry division. Your role will involve managing the handling, preparation, and storage of perishable goods while ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and production of pastry items.
  • Manage the handling and storage of perishable ingredients.
  • Ensure adherence to HACCP guidelines for safe and sanitary food production.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in upscale, high-volume restaurant or catering environments.
  • Demonstrated creativity and quality in pastry preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of food quality and current culinary trends, focusing on seasonal ingredients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and overall computer skills.
  • Understanding of safe food handling practices.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification is a plus.
