Overview:

Infra-Rec is seeking a proficient Civil/Structural Substation Engineer to become part of our innovative engineering team. This role focuses on the design, evaluation, and supervision of civil and structural components of electrical substations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Evaluation:
    • Develop and review civil and structural designs for substation initiatives.
    • Perform structural evaluations and employ engineering software for comprehensive designs.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive design integration.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Compliance and Quality Control:
    • Verify that designs meet industry standards and conduct site evaluations.
    • Examine engineering documentation for precision and completeness.
  • Innovation and Enhancement:
    • Keep abreast of industry advancements and suggest creative solutions.
    • Contribute to the improvement of design methodologies and project productivity.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Licenses/Certifications: PE license and EIT certification are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in structural analysis and CAD software.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of industry standards such as ASCE, AISC, ACI.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and organizational abilities.
  • Communication: Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Capacity to work collaboratively within a team setting.
Compensation:
  • Attractive starting salary of $130,000+ commensurate with experience.
