Job Summary:

Hormel Foods is seeking a highly skilled Associate Quality and Process Control Supervisor to support management in the implementation of food safety and food quality processes and procedures. This role will involve training and managing 4-6 quality auditors, leading, directing, and training employees to achieve quality standards, and creating and maintaining an engaged and team-oriented workforce to improve business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct employees to achieve quality standards.
  • Manage product quality and oversee sanitation procedures and food safety.
  • Consult with management on quality and food safety in the manufacturing facility.
  • Train and manage quality auditors.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Agricultural Business, Management, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred OR 5+ years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.
  • Must be comfortable with the preparation and consumption of a variety of Hormel Foods Products, which may include but not limited to, pork, beef, chicken, and nuts.
  • Must be open to relocation.

Location is based on business needs at the time an offer is made

Training and Advancement:

Training is hands-on and consists of supervisory training and courses in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Total Quality Control (TQC), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP). The Quality and Process Control career path may include advancing to a higher-level quality management positions at your current location, another facility, subsidiary location, or the Corporate Office.

Base Pay Range: $65,000 to $70,000 per year; however, actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills set, level of experience, and specific office location.
