Job Summary:

Estes Express Lines is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic Trainee to join our team. As a leading LTL freight carrier, we take pride in our highly qualified mechanics across the network.

The Mechanic Trainee will assist experienced mechanics and Shop Management with minor repairs, interpret work orders, and access required parts and tools. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for career advancement into higher-level mechanic or management positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with minor repairs under the guidance of experienced mechanics and/or Shop Management
  • Interpret work orders and assist with accessing required parts and tools
  • Assist with testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment under the direction of trained mechanics and/or Shop Management
  • Must possess the strength and stamina required to work in awkward positions

Pay Range: $25.50/hour
