Position Overview:
The Systems Engineer will provide analytic support to the Analysis Technology and Tradecraft Office, focusing on strategic transformation initiatives. This role involves collaborating with key mission partners to enhance engineering and integration efforts, aiming to deliver substantial modernization capabilities. The objective is to leverage partnerships to identify opportunities that align current and future technology transformation efforts with architectural planning, development, and implementation, while advancing modernization initiatives organically.
Core Duties:
- Support the Deputy Director of Analysis Technology in addressing architectural dependencies and ensuring alignment of strategic efforts.
- Prepare documentation to articulate both the current and future states of projects, while capturing lessons learned.
- Engage with mission stakeholders to define and shape future capabilities.
- Participate in strategic and tactical planning activities with customers and programs.
- Contribute to the development of system architectures to enhance mission services.
- Evaluate new technologies for applicability to mission services, using quantifiable criteria for informed decision-making.
- Conduct Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs) and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Identify critical decision points and offer recommendations to support strategic goals.
- Conduct outreach to users to communicate planned architectural changes and project statuses, while gathering input for optimizing delivery plans.
- Generate weekly activity reports for government stakeholders as necessary.
- Deliver effective technical presentations to both senior management and diverse audiences, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Clarify technical issues for varied audiences and facilitate coordination across agencies.
- Collaborate with customers to resolve technical and programmatic challenges.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Engineering.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in systems engineering, integration, or development, which may substitute for degree requirements.
- Experience in relevant sectors, including DoD/IC Acquisition Processes, SAFe Agile methodologies, merging architectures, and developing CONOPS.
- TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI clearance and pass a polygraph examination.
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Over 2 years of experience in GEOINT analytic tradecraft and analysis production system development.
- Experience in government acquisition processes for 2+ years.
- 1+ years of experience in agile systems development.
- Prior experience with NGA Analysis or similar organizations.
