Responsibilities- Treatment Administration: Perform various treatments and injections as needed, ensuring the highest level of patient care and comfort.
- Communication and Reporting: Give and receive reports from Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), maintaining open lines of communication and ensuring seamless care transitions.
- Care Planning and Evaluation: Evaluate residents and develop effective care plans, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
- Professional Development: Attend in-services and stay up-to-date on the latest industry developments and best practices.
- Emergency Response: Notify responsible parties in case of emergencies and take prompt action to ensure resident safety.
- State Reporting: Notify the Oklahoma State Department of Health within the required timeframe in regards to state reportable incidents.
- Team Support: Serve in a CMA or CNA capacity if needed, providing temporary support until another team member can arrive.
- Physician Communication: Call the physician as necessary for antibiotics, falls with injuries, illness, cardiac symptoms, and other medical concerns.
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Oklahoma, with a good standing record with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
- Experience: Long-term care nursing experience preferred, but not required.
- Qualifications: Cooperative, professional appearance, and professional handling of staff issues, residents, and families.
- Physical Demands: Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately, and be able to bend, stretch, reach, lift, or move up to 25 pounds at a time, turn, and walk. Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
