At Tradebe Environmental Services, we are committed to innovation and sustainability. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of our East Chicago plant Solid Distillation System (SDS) units.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by ensuring all operations adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies. They will also provide engineering and technical support to achieve a high degree of technical success.

Key responsibilities include evaluating and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, monitoring equipment for signs of malfunction, developing and managing all projects affecting the units, and compiling plant data to generate technical reports. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 5+ years of hands-on experience in process engineering, and experience in project management, hazardous and non-hazardous treatment and recycling technologies, and preventive maintenance.

  • Develop and implement efficient processes to optimize production and reduce manufacturing issues
  • Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with the plant's Maintenance, Production, Safety and Compliance team to achieve company goals
  • Compile and analyze plant data to generate technical reports and identify areas for improvement
  • Support ongoing projects through data compilation, operator training, procedure development, laboratory upkeep, maintenance, and safety review/document preparation
