Position Overview:
The role of the Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal is essential in supporting legal teams in managing complex litigation cases related to intellectual property.

Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IP litigation within a law firm setting is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Relativity, Docket Navigator, and USPTO tools is essential.
- Familiarity with the litigation process and e-discovery is preferred; training is available for the right candidate.
- Experience in cite checking is a plus; training will be provided.

Core Responsibilities:
- Organize, review, and maintain comprehensive litigation case files.
- Track litigation dockets and manage deadlines effectively.
- Utilize CompuLaw for litigation calendar management.
- Assist in preparing court filings, including proofreading, cite checking, and assembling necessary documents for District, Appellate courts, and the International Trade Commission (ITC).
- Maintain expertise in e-filing systems such as U.S.D.C. CM/ECF and USITC EDIS.
- Conduct thorough factual and legal research using databases like Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, Docket Navigator, PACER, EDIS, and USPTO.
- Coordinate document collection and production with litigation support and e-discovery vendors.
- Execute searches in production databases using software like IPRO and Relativity.
- Manage all phases of fact and expert discovery.
- Oversee daily workflow and delegate tasks to team members.
- Prepare materials for depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
- Provide support to attorneys during court and agency proceedings, including the ITC.
- Mentor junior paralegals and temporary staff as needed.
- Participate in special projects and assignments as required.
- Flexibility to work overtime as necessary.
- Undertake miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned.

Educational Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Trial experience as a paralegal is required.
- Knowledge of patent or IP litigation and trials is advantageous.
- Understanding of the litigation process and e-discovery, along with experience in database management, is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, CompuLaw, Case Notebook, Relativity, IPRO (Eclipse), and FileSite.
- Familiarity with litigation and hearings at the ITC is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to support matters at any level are essential.
- Capable of managing team dynamics and responding to shifting demands while working under tight deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple detailed tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Must be a collaborative team player, delivering high-quality work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business information with discretion.
