Job Overview: Northwest Indiana, Inc. is in search of dedicated Custodial/Janitorial staff to maintain cleanliness and orderliness within our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all.
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Work Schedule: The position requires working weekdays, Monday through Friday, during afternoon shifts. Flexibility for additional shifts may be necessary based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe facility.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Assist in the upkeep of school grounds, including lawn care and snow removal.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a well-maintained environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow simple instructions.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Ability to operate custodial equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with students and staff.
Physical Requirements: The role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Employees must be able to perform tasks that involve climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching.
Work Environment: The position may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying noise levels. Safety protocols must be adhered to at all times.
