Job Title: Elementary School After School Program Assistant

Join Fayette County Public Schools as an Elementary School After School Program Assistant and play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to assist in the supervision of students enrolled in our Creative Activities Program. As an After School Program Assistant, you will work closely with our After School Program Coordinator to provide a safe and engaging environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of program activities, including arts and crafts, sports, and educational games.
  • Provide supervision and support to students during program activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of snacks and meals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized program area, including the classroom, gym, and playground.
  • Assist with the registration and attendance of students, as well as the maintenance of student records.
  • Monitor and report student behavior, as well as provide support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Collaborate with the After School Program Coordinator to develop and implement program activities and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the After School Program Coordinator.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience working with children in an organized setting preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The After School Program Assistant will be required to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
