Job Description and Requirements

The BSA Enhanced Due Diligence Compliance Analyst is responsible for identifying members who may pose a higher risk to the credit union and will perform a variety of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) duties. The Analyst will proactively monitor, research, analyze, and escalate all suspicious activity to ensure continuous compliance with the regulatory guidelines and applicable laws. In addition, will be responsible for timely filing required reports, as well as compliance with BSA record-keeping requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and analyze high-risk member transactions and document enhanced due diligence reviews.
  • Proactively communicate and document significant changes in transactional behavior, risk profile, and behavior patterns to senior team members and management.
  • Stay up-to-date with BSA/AML, OFAC, and CIP regulatory updates and changes.
  • Adhere to established departmental and organizational procedures and policies to actively participate and support the delivery of thorough and high-quality investigations and reviews.
  • Monitor transactional activity and provide quality control support for the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTR).
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of 1 year Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) experience.
  • Knowledgeable of BSA/AML and OFAC regulatory requirements.
  • Must be able to articulate investigation findings in well-written documented narratives.
  • Effectively and proactively manage responsibilities independently and in an organized manner.
Preferred:
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or equivalent certification.
  • Prior experience with Verafin software.
