Accounts Payable Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our dynamic team at Creative Financial Staffing. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, supervising a team of associates, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the accounts payable process, including supervising a team of associates and ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
  • Work closely with the AVP-Finance and Accounting Managers to systematically manage and schedule the bill payment process.
  • Review daily cash reports to ensure sufficient cash to process payments and reconcile all payment activities.
  • Maintain a monthly calendar to schedule vendor payments and manage the check selection process for each bank account.
  • Supervise the regular review of vendor statements to ensure timely processing and resolve billing disputes.
  • Ensure the processing of electronic payments of utility vendors and maintain a schedule of utility vendors and real estate tax accounts.
  • Process all stop payments with the bank and evaluate if a re-issuance is needed.
  • Oversee the processing of rent payments for multiple subsidy programs and ensure accurate update of the recurring charge file.
  • Responsible for the monthly posting and closing of the accounts payable system and provide accrued expense entries to accounting staff as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of AP experience, with 3-4+ years of prior experience in a management role.
  • Experience utilizing MRI or Yardi is a plus.
