Certifications: ACLS, BLS (Preferred: NRP & PALS)
Job Description:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients across all age groups, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates.
  • Work primarily in inpatient settings, covering diverse areas such as ER and critical care.
  • Collaborate with the lead therapist on each shift for comprehensive patient care.
  • Operate respiratory equipment, including Drager ventilators, Vision, V60, and V30 Bipaps, and Airvo2 high flow devices.
  • Participate in a 7-7 team scheduling structure and work every third weekend as per requirement.
  • Follow holiday rotation schedule.
  • Float to all areas within the hospital as needed.
  • Complete three 12-hour shifts for department-specific orientation.
  • Chart patient information using the EPIC system.
  • Work in a Level 2 Trauma Center acute care setting.
  • Requests for time off need to be submitted upfront with the contract. Additional requests will not be approved after submission.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Operate complex respiratory equipment with precision and accuracy.
  • Provide education and training to patients and families on respiratory care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
  • License to practice respiratory therapy in the state of Nebraska.
  • Current certifications in ACLS and BLS (NRP and PALS preferred).
  • Ability to work in a Level 2 Trauma Center acute care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
