Job Summary

UNC Rex Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in the MSICU, NSICU, CSICU, CICU, and ED. As a key member of our critical care team, you will provide direct patient care to adult critical care patients and work closely with other members of the Department of Pharmacy to address any needs that may arise.

Responsibilities
  • Assess relevant patient data and make appropriate pharmaceutical care interventions
  • Provide pharmacokinetic management and support to inpatient nursing units
  • Provide drug information to clinicians and counsel patients and family members regarding pharmaceutical care issues and lifestyle modifications
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives and represent the hospital or department on committees
  • Adhere to federal, state, local, and institutional policies, procedures, standards, and regulations
Requirements
  • PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree
  • Active pharmacist licensure with the NC Board of Pharmacy or obtainable before initiation of employment
  • No prior experience required, but completion of a PGY1 and PGY2 residency or an equivalent level of pharmacy experience is preferred
