Job Overview

Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: North Branch, MN

Compensation: $26.00/hr

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and resolve issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in manufacturing equipment.
  • Conduct routine, predictive, and preventive maintenance on all machinery, ensuring thorough documentation of activities.
  • Repair and maintain motorized equipment effectively.
  • Operate manlifts and forklifts for transporting heavy components and conducting inspections on vehicles.
  • Determine necessary parts for equipment and facility repairs.
  • Complete required documentation for ordering new parts and tracking existing inventory.
  • Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to manage parts inventory.
  • Fabricate metal components and perform welding tasks as needed.
  • Execute basic to moderately complex electrical repairs and installations.
  • Coordinate service calls and necessary repairs efficiently.
  • Perform daily safety inspections on forklifts.
  • Address grounds and facilities repairs as required.
  • Carry out additional related duties and assignments as necessary.
  • Maintain an organized workstation and ensure tools are in good condition.
  • Provide training to fellow Maintenance Associates.
  • Educate plant associates on equipment operation and procedures.
  • Respond to emergency situations as required.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly safety meetings as necessary.
  • Engage actively in all plant safety initiatives and assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of maintenance experience, with a minimum of one year in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance scheduling and execution.
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry and tool usage.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, lift heavy objects, bend, and twist.
  • Correctable hearing and vision are required.
  • Ability to pass a colorblindness test and distinguish colors.
  • Willingness to learn electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills through on-the-job training.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Capability to work with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
