About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment.
  • Prepare and deliver surgical supplies and equipment as required.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care and support.
  • Assist in maintaining a cooperative work environment and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a surgical technologist program or 2 years of surgical scrub experience.
  • CPR certification and ability to obtain Certified Surgical Technologist certification within 3 months of employment.
  • Ability to work with exposure to body fluids, waste, and chemicals, radiation, hazardous materials, anesthesia gases, and life-threatening diseases.
  • On-call availability, rotating shifts, and ability to move heavy patients and equipment.
