About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field, a safe patient care environment, and appropriate supplies/equipment as required for the operative procedure.
  • Assist in providing for a cooperative work environment in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the surgical field and supplies/instruments delivered to the field.
  • Perform duties in the scrub role as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of surgical technologist program or 2 years of surgical scrub experience.
  • CPR certified.
  • Ability to move heavy patients and equipment and to stand for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility to deal with stressful, changing environments.
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Ability to communicate, cooperate and work well with others.
