Role Overview:

We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced office environment to assist with coding charges for designated specialties and subspecialties, while effectively communicating with physicians and staff regarding coding matters.

Supervision: Reports to the Regulatory Services Supervisor.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coding and charge entry for assigned specialties
  • Posting diagnostic charges accurately
  • Investigating missing ticket reports
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines
  • Collaborating with physicians and insurance personnel on coding inquiries
  • Addressing and rectifying coding-related denials
  • Participating in departmental training sessions as required

Work Environment:

This is a permanent full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule. Remote work is available following an initial training period.

Candidate Qualifications:

1 to 2 years of experience with ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding is preferred. An Associate degree in Health Information Technology with R.H.I.T certification or eligibility for certification within one year of employment is required. Alternatively, candidates with CCS/CCS-P/CPC certification and relevant educational background will be considered.
