Fox Run is a picturesque 108-acre continuing care retirement community located in Novi, Michigan. We are part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, a national leader in senior living and healthcare with campuses across multiple states.
Compensation: $17 hourly.
We are seeking a dedicated Security and Emergency Services (SES) Officer for our gated retirement community. The SES Officer plays a crucial role in implementing the Security and Emergency Services Programs, which encompass Security, Emergency Medical Response, Safety/Life Safety, Emergency Preparedness, and Prevention/Outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, provide staffing support for the gatehouse, and respond to both emergency and routine service calls.
- Enforce traffic and parking regulations effectively.
- Address service requests from dispatch and security personnel.
- Respond to medical emergencies and deliver prompt care utilizing all basic interventions as outlined in the Emergency Response Protocols and the Integrated Healthcare Model.
- Investigate reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activities.
- Collaborate with local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies, ensuring thorough and detailed incident reports are completed using our online reporting system.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
- Current Emergency Medical Responder certification is necessary (higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).
Note: All required licenses and certifications must be maintained as a condition of employment.
