Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL B Local Delivery Truck Driver to join our team at Sysco. As a CDL B Local Delivery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering containers to sites in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retrieve cargo from various cargo services
  • Ensure air containers, pallets, loads, and equipment are transported safely and securely
  • Complete and submit all vehicle reports, receiving documents, trip sheets, and other related paperwork on a timely basis
  • Receive and account for all cargo and submit receipts
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle
  • Accountable for the collection of COD accounts
  • Report all accidents to the Driver Supervisor immediately
  • Log break, lunch times, and follow the route on the trip sheet
  • Able to demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
  • Able to work overtime as required
Requirements
  • Ability to drive Type 3 and CDL B vehicles as deemed necessary
  • Ability to work in cool temperatures
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Displays good attitude and judgment
  • Ability to do basic mathematical functions, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
  • Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and wagons
Physical Demands

Requires frequent lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Produce industry experience preferred. CDL B license required. Forklift proficiency and certification required. Maintains licensure and PUC certificates.
