Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Volvo Technician to join our team at Volvo Cars Clear Lake. As a Volvo Technician, you will play a crucial role in our service department, performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on vehicles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and filter replacements, according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Diagnostic Expertise: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and drivetrain components.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct vehicle inspections and road tests to identify and address any additional maintenance or repair needs.
  • Quality and Safety: Follow dealership and manufacturer guidelines and procedures for warranty and recall repairs, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to explain recommended repairs and provide estimates for labor and parts costs.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians and apprentices as needed.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance and repair tasks, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a vocational or technical training program in automotive technology preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of [insert number] years of experience as an automotive technician, with a strong understanding of automotive systems and components.
  • Certifications: Certification from National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) preferred.
