Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at Boar's Head Brand. As a key member of our Plant Management department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the assigned department, ensuring that all lead associates are properly trained and have a full understanding of the processes they are involved in.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and Inventory Management: Ensure that all records and inventories are completed and reviewed daily, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of production and inventory levels.
  • Safety and Sanitation: Ensure that the department meets all safety requirements, maintaining a clean and safe working environment for all employees.
  • Product Flow and Efficiency: Ensure consistent product flow to maximize efficiency, identifying and implementing process improvements to optimize production.
  • Long-Range Planning: Actively participate in the research, justification, and implementation involved in the long-range planning process, contributing to the development of strategic plans and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Experience: Three to five years related experience in a production/manufacturing environment, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role where responsibility was maintained to ensure employees are fully trained and have a complete understanding of the process in which they are functioning.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Experience in pre-operational and operational inspection procedures, knowledge of an activity-based safety program, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and HACCP certification a plus. Knowledge of USDA regulations and bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
