Job Title: Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Avient Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Lewiston, ME facility. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
  • Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Operate forklifts and hydraulic working platforms as needed
  • Set up and operate shop machinery, including lathes, drill presses, grinders, and cutting torches
  • Fabricate basic metal equipment using welding and other methods
  • Complete all assigned maintenance work to established standards in a timely and effective manner
  • Take an active role in workplace safety and environmental protection
  • Communicate effectively with production operators, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree or Licensed Journeyman in lieu of degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting controls systems, electric components, pneumatic, instrumentation, and mechanical devices
  • Proven expertise in industrial electrical, including design, sizing, installation, and component-level troubleshooting
  • Experience in other fields of maintenance, such as plumbing, refrigeration, carpentry, welding, and forklift repair
