Position Overview

The Travel Nurse RN plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care to patients through the nursing process. This includes assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications are required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • TNCC certification is required or must be completed within one year of employment.
  • ENPC certification is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care while adhering to professional nursing standards.
  • Engage effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.
  • Exhibit essential leadership and management competencies aligned with the core values of Artesia General Hospital.
  • Utilize the nursing process to ensure thorough assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on relevant health information and provide written materials as needed.
  • Conduct direct patient care following established protocols and standards.
  • Assist in training and orienting new nursing staff.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by volunteering to cover open shifts as necessary.
  • Exercise sound judgment in addressing any concerns or discrepancies in patient care.
Qualifications
  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in emergency or intensive care settings.
  • Licensure: A current New Mexico RN License is required, or an RN License with Multistate Compact privileges.
