Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. (NCYF) is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals for the role of Residential Supervisor to support the daily operations of our therapeutic group homes for youth.
The Residential Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring that the group home maintains an effective schedule with appropriate staff coverage and performance, while also guaranteeing a suitable staff-to-client ratio at all times.
An ideal candidate for this position is organized, flexible, and possesses strong problem-solving skills. Clear and constructive communication with direct care staff is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities include overseeing direct care staff during shifts, providing constructive feedback regarding staffing issues, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations to safeguard the well-being of both at-risk youth clients and staff members.
Successful candidates will demonstrate reliability and possess excellent time-management and budgeting abilities. The Residential Supervisor is responsible for managing the budget of the residential group home, procuring necessary household items, and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with NCYF's purchasing policies.
Additionally, Residential Supervisors are tasked with reviewing and monitoring compliance with essential documentation, such as client reports, staff logs, and supervisory notes, in a timely manner. Participation in the implementation and monitoring of treatment plans is also required, along with other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a relevant field or a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in youth services; a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent supervisory experience is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of non-profit administration and child protective systems is essential.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
- A valid and active driver's license along with reliable transportation is required.
- Successful candidates must pass approved CORI, DCF, and driving record checks.
