Job Summary

Castello di Amorosa is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Wine Ambassador to join our team. As a Wine Ambassador, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, educating guests about our wines, and promoting our wine club.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wine Education: Educate guests about our wines, winemaking techniques, and winery information and history.
  • Sales and Service: Help customers make selections by building customer confidence, offering suggestions and opinions, and promoting our wine club.
  • Tour and Tasting: Conduct tours of the winery, explain various winery processes and operations, and pour and sell our wines.
  • Customer Service: Greet and serve guests in a friendly, gracious manner, and provide support for privately booked and winery-sponsored events.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management and maintain a professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
Requirements:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills in English are a must.
  • Wine Knowledge: Wine knowledge is preferred, but not a necessity.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills and ability to work quickly and under pressure.
  • Reliability: Must be extremely reliable and have a positive work ethic.
  • Age and Transportation: Must be 21 years of age or older and have reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation:

The starting salary is $24 to $40 per hour based on individual sales and experience (includes bonuses).
