Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support Linux servers and applications.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on various projects and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide on-call support and conduct system maintenance during off-peak hours.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proficient in Linux systems, including storage structure, run levels, shell scripting, and permissions.
  • Familiarity with network configuration for Unix systems.
  • Experience with Linux distributions, preferably RHEL.
  • Comfortable operating within a command-line interface.
  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Experience with Ansible.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of AIX and Power systems.
  • Experience with virtualization concepts.
  • Familiarity with NIM operations, HMC operations, and NFS.
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Satellite or Foreman.
  • Experience with Ansible Tower or AWX.
  • Understanding of LDAP/Active Directory.
  • Experience with VMware.
