Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Resin Operator Trainee to join our team at PPG - USA. As a Resin Operator Trainee, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality resins, working closely with our experienced team to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop mechanical and technical skills, knowledge, and experience needed to manufacture various resins using available equipment under the direct supervision of the Trainer, Senior Operator, and/or Team Leader.
  • Assist the trainer in the production of resin batches, performing duties according to instructions given, including reading and comprehending resin log instructions, preparing equipment, charging raw materials, initiating reactions, and monitoring parameters.
  • Prepare for and perform clean-up according to Development Center procedures, independently carrying out duties such as cleaning reactor vessels, supply lines, pumps, scales, batch buggies, fittings, general reactor vessel area, presses, and GAFs.
  • Gain knowledge of reactor systems, their operations, various uses, and capabilities through the MOC process and from DC staff.
Requirements
  • Strong math skills are preferred.
  • Previous experience as an Operator is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an environment blending chemicals is a plus.
  • Ability to Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to Push/Pull 51 lbs or more.
