We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardio-Pulmonary team at Carle Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications, hang IV piggybacks and fluids, and perform other nursing tasks as needed.
- Conduct thorough assessments and chart patient information, collaborating with RNs to ensure comprehensive care.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, APPs, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Provide tracheostomy care, NG tube management, and ostomy care as required.
- Reinforce education and discharge instructions to patients and their families.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire.
