Travel Nursing LPN Position

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Home Health team at Carle Health. As an LPN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in their homes, working under the supervision of a registered nurse or other provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the LPN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
  • Assume responsibility for direct nursing care of assigned patients, including monitoring vital signs and performing cardio-respiratory assessments.
  • Perform complex dressing changes, including wound vacs, packing, and removal of sutures or staples as ordered.
  • Communicate with MDs per telephone or electronically regarding patient updates or changes in condition.
  • Assess and educate patients on enteral feedings and care of gastrostomy or jejunostomy tubes.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Practical Nursing
  • Two (2) years inpatient, skilled nursing facility, or other direct patient care experience
  • Able to work independently in the home care setting
  • Reliable, available transportation and ability to meet requirements for travel as required by daily schedule
